I finished my first two brass experiments, an archway and rocking chair for Jane's fairy garden. Needless to say, lots of learning here. I used lead solder with a combination of electrical resistance and soldering iron techniques. The workmanship leaves something to be desired but such is the case at beginnings. I have now found a lead free solder and flux combination that works almost just as well and have tried it out on brass, copper, and zinc. This now allows me to do completely lead free 3-D projects that can be structurally sound.
